The diversity of the German organ landscape is unique, but, unlike us, who travel permanently, the aerophon organ has been always bound – at first to the room to which the instrument was adapted, secondly, to the time in which it was built. This makes it a cultural witness. The ravages of time have done the rest, particularly in remote regions many organs are considered unplayable because they are out of tune or damaged. Yet this is precisely the circumstance that makes the essence of history audible. The virtuosity of our time, in which perfection has long since been produced by machines, lies in the ability to react intuitively to what is fragile.

What is better suited than the improvisational approach of a Jazz musician?
